Children's Work Shop Donates to AHP Pets
Dec 2011
Children K, 1st, 2nd were working on the expectation of We Are Kind and focusing on it being in the community. They were offered several options for this and they chose an Animal Shelter. Using a shelter wishlist they collected food, toys, treats, bedding for the animals in the shelter.
Sue Moulton, A Helping Paw volunteer, went to the Children’s Workshop Nov 30th to pick up the items and provide information on the shelter and how what the children did will make an impact.
Abount 30-32 children participated in collecting the items. Miss Lauren was the teacher involved with them.
Thank you to all the children who participated! You've helped make our pets happy!

Yard Sale NH Spring 2011
Wow, we were exhausted but thrilled with the results. Everyone was so very kind - happy to help the pets - even in this poor economy. Sure makes you feel good when you can have fun and help unwanted pets at the same time! Thank you to everyone who donated items and or made purchases. And thankfully the rain held off. We sold mostly all little items but it added up to over $175. for the pets!

Have-A-Heart For Pets 2011
Thank you to everyone who purchased hearts helping make this fundraiser for pets a success.
Why is this fundraiser so important?
Each year millions of dollars are spent housing stray, unwanted pets, only to be destroyed when homes can't be found. It is a vicious cycle - born only to suffer and be destroyed. You've seen the commercials, you've seen the photos - millions of dollars are spent advertising these pets so you can see the faces that suffer. Sadly, if people didn't see their faces they wouldn't feel the need to help. Wouldn't it be wiser to prevent the suffering and deaths in the first place?

Antiques & More Auction 2006
Wednesday, December 6th at the Elks Club
Bearses Way, Hyannis
We are heartbroken to announce our auction was a complete flop. Months to prepare, and hours to set up - weather conditions forced people to stay home. We had hoped we would shed tears of happiness at all the funds we raised for the pets - instead we shed tears at the funds lost to pay for the food and the hall, and all the great efforts our volunteers provided.

Pets' Wish List
First we would like to thank everyone who helps A Helping Paw continue saving lives. Many may see us as just another stray, homeless pet that should be destroyed. We've known abuse, fear, hunger, thirst and pain, most of all loneliness had become our only friend. Many of us have watched as our friends' lives have ended prematurely, ever so grateful we've been given a second chance at life by A Helping Paw. From all of us, we thank the people who support A Helping Paw and life!
-
Homes, Homes and more Homes - gosh, there are so few good homes out there - seems everyone already has a pet, or they just don't want more. We see people all the time that simply fall in love with us, yet they walk out the door and leave us to never comeback. I wonder what it feels like to have that one special lap, or maybe even your very own dish? You know what would be great, is if people decided to add just one more pet giving a shelter pet the best gift EVER a HOME! Please adopt a pet for "Home For The Holidays".
-
Sponsors to donate funds that will build an outside play yard for the sanctuary residents so we can play safedestressde. This will help us destress and keep us busy exploring something different everyday.
-
Toys and goodies - yes, when we get bored, we tend to make our own fun, of course the volunteers would prefer we had lots of new toys and kitty furniture to keep us busy so we'll stop getting into trouble.

TY Beanie Baby Yard Sale
October 2005
Thanks to so many generous Beanie Collectors we collected over 1300 Beanies! We spent Friday till midnight just sorting them! Just as we were setting up Sat it began to rain, our volunteer Amy rushed to get a tent so the sale could still go on. And it did. Little, 11 year-old Sheri, (my adorable daughter) ran the show! She spent the entire day out in the cold rain, but she didn't mind one bit. She helped us raise a little over $100. May not seem like much, but it helped pay for the food and litter we need for just one week. Thank you so much to everyone who helped set up and risked getting wet by coming to our sale. And, YES, we still are collecting Beanies and would like to reach our goal of 2,000! We'll have the Beanies available for sale at our Holidaystuffers Perfect for stocking stuffers, gifts, giveaways at bingo and parties. Great time to stock up on those Beanies.

Our 4th annual Heart For Pets was a great success. We raised over $90. to help the animals. Many of the donations came from out-of-staEbaythrough people bidding on Ebay!
Our First Annual Holiday Fair Dec. 2004
was a great success!!!! Considering this was our first, I'm very proud of all our volunteers that dug right in and did what was needed to make this event so wonderful - a lot of hard-work and time was needed to pull this off. Even our JR volunteers were there to give us a helping hand - we could not have done it without them. Meeting the pet parents and hearing about their wonderful companions was of course the highlight of our day. Thanks to our volunteers, and businesses that donated items we raised over $1,000. for our shelter. We also collected over 250 pounds of dry animal food to help less fortunate pet owners who struggle to pay winter bills. This event was a lot of fun and we hope to see you all next year.
