Donors Save Lives - You Are Their Guardian Angels

A Helping Paw Animal Shelter Robbed - Oct. 26, 2008

*Important notice: Several people have mentioned they have not received a response to the donation they have made. Please understand because of the publicity surounding the robbery we received over 300 letters, not to mention hundreds and hundreds of calls all in a very short period of time. Though many people were unable to help financially, they wanted to show their support and possibly help in other ways. In addition, many of the calls were from people who have been desperately trying to find a no-kill shelter to surrender their pets to. Please be assured, every single letter will be responded to. Regardless if you donate $5. or a million (though we  may respond a little quicker if you donate a million simply because that would mean we could finally by our very own shelter and never have to worry about closing again) every single donation matters to us, it means you cared enough to take the time to help these precious animals. Please also understand we are also in the middle of one of the worst pet crisis ever. Our volunteers are working over time to save the pets next to be killed. Rescuing these animals can be time consuming, we must make them our priority, it seriously is a matter of life or death. Thank you so much for your support that makes this all possible and your understanding during this difficult time. And please don't forget the pet you adopt today makes room for the pet due to be destroyed tomorrow.

Break-in Robbed The Pets of a Little Over $1,200

We've decided to make a dedicated page to all of the wonderful people who have taken the time to support the pets of A Helping Paw. This page is in honor of them! They are surely life-savers. Our pets are blessed to have so many kind friends.

First, a special thanks to Lauren and Jenn who already continue to go well beyond to provide daily care of our pets and ensure the daily running of our shelter and thrift shop. Already exhausted, they were truly pushed to their limits in order to deal with the chaos of the aftermath of the break-in. Thanks to so much wonderful media attention, we quickly became overwelmed with calls and visits from the public. Completely exhausted, they spent a very cold Halloween Day out raising funds for our pets. Working a full time job in addition to running A Helping Paw, their dedication is invaluable to me. I am honored to have two such amazingly dedicated people working for our organization.

Witches of Salem Raise Money For Robbed Animal Shelter
The witches of Salem summoned A Helping Paw  to join them in the yearly festivities held in Salem, MA on Halloween Day to help raise the funds that were stolen.  Above, Laurie, owner of Crow Haven Corner saddened by the news of the theft draws in donations to help the pets. Volunteers: Lauren, Dave, Cassie, Jenn, Brent, Brenna and Chris braved the long cold day with smiles on their faces thrilled with the kind support from visitors and local merchants. A little over $1,200 was raised! We feel completely honored to be invited to spend the day with  Laurie and thank her for her kindeness to our pets. Visit her site @ www.crowhavencorner.net to learn more about the witches of Salem and see some of the great products she has to offer.
